Title: PHP Developer for Short Contract Project
We are looking for a Senior PHP Developer for a short period of time (Est 2 Weeks) to assist and consult in updating an existing project. Depending on performance there is potential for the contract position to turn into a full time employment.
Standard stuff includes: Standard Web Stack (HTML, CSS, JS, AJAX, JSON), VCS, DB... etc.... This isn't our first rodeo, we will know if you don't know something. Just let us know what your skills are.
Android/iPhone Dev Expierence is a plus.
Project: This position is focused on getting an existing project running and production ready. The code was purchased from another company and we are currently setting it up to run for production. None the less, there are issues with the code base as some aspects look like they were built with less than ideal paradigms.
What your job will be is to help identify issues with the application, fix items that can be fixed and create detailed notes what can be addressed after the production launch (longer term opportunity). You'll be responsible for setting up the test environment and writing many unit, functional and acceptance tests to fully vet functionality automatically (Apparently the previous developer did not feel the need for testing). Additionally, we will need to address security issues with the platform and fix those.
In this case, experience with Codeception is a definate plus.
Please be prepared with your resume, example code and projects (GitHub profile would be awesome), and if your feeling frisky, if you can solve this code golf problem http://codegolf.stackexchange.com/questions/81170/simulate-a-battle-in-the-playing-card-game-oorlog in your own way it will definately get our attention sooner than later but is not required. (The solution doesn't have to be short as per Code Golf, but should be easily readable and function as if you were coding for a project)
Serious Inquires Only. Position starts ASAP. Remote developers are welcome but those who are local to North NJ are preferred.
